This distinctive emporium with its’ intriguing name will invite you in with it’s intriguing collection. This is a place where candy is sold the old-fashioned way and the debates on the cost of a Chappie’s chewing gum is one of the most frequent discussion overheard. Kids love it, but so do the parents. It’s beautiful and romantic… a good place to get something for the jaws and home.
And if you love all things vintage – then this is your space. There are also colourful new things like handbags and rain sticks, and nostalgic things like ceramics. The Pompous Fly sells antique silver collectables, amber, silver and gold jewellery, unusual reading lamps, a collection of old and new tins, wooden toys, candles, old and new enamel, kitchenalia, old fashioned candy, old money - somewhat like 'Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe'.

Carol will tell a passionate story about every piece in this store of originals, and despite the quaint name it is highly unlikely that you will find the proverbial pompous fly in the ointment.
