Greencube Nursery and Garden Studio

Indigenous material, herbs, good old-fashioned garden plants and kiddies jungle gyms at Noordhoek Farm Village

The greencube nursery is about to relaunch at Noordhoek Farm Village.  There’s a new space and a new feel and some very exciting developments for all those avid gardeners out there.

Some of you may have seen a small wooden structure near the old slave bell in the village.  This is the greencube ecoshed. It is built out of alien pine & gum species and features a living wall and a living roof.  greencube is designing and installing these structures in any combination of surfaces as studio spaces, small offices or just as beautiful garden sheds.

Living walls are ideally suited to extend green living spaces on walls particularly where surface area is a challenge. They can be applied to any number of challenging areas including indoor spaces providing there is adequate light available for photosynthesis.  the wall at the nursery is planted with shade loving species but depending on the aspect, any combination of succulents, herbs, veggies and fynbos groundcovers and grasses could be used.

Pop in to greencube to find out more about how to create your own living wall – give Arlo and his team your dimensions and create a lush vertical garden anywhere – either indoors or outdoors so it could be  a courtyard, a balcony or a terrace. The planting panels are manufactured by the greencube team and incorporate a drip irrigation system in the design.

The new greencube nursery site is smaller and more compact. It is a fully recycled project from echoshed & fencing to the timbers and the paving! greencube will stock and display all the favourite perennials, fynbos, succulents, herbs & vegetables that they are well known for.

Another exciting development is the affiliation partnership with Natural Gardening Principles (NGP) and their range of natural products (free of chemicals) and help gardens thrive.
