Café Roux is a family run business, open daily for breakfast, lunch and cakes. Situated under the oak trees, en route to Chapman’s Peak Drive in beautiful Noordhoek, Café Roux is largely outdoor eating. It borders on a children’s playground and grass area, making it a family-friendly destination.

Owners Lindi, Paul & Bern have always said, "We wanted to create a special place where we could sit outside in the sun with our family and friends, eating great food, drinking our favourite wine. Simply enjoying life..."
A Bedouin tent spreads over the outdoor area in summer to provide extra shade – ideal for breakfasts or long lazy lunches. Easy to keep an eye on the kids playing on the lawn, in the playground or under the oak trees. In winter, the indoor restaurant area is cozy thanks to the real roaring fire.
Weekends are buzzing with a great atmosphere and the live music is very popular on Sunday afternoons. Food portions are generous and can be described as seasonal with emphasis on fresh produce and great presentation – all cuisine is South African with a twist. Expect delights such as Springbok carpaccio, Durban curries and Asian beef salad. The burger is a local favourite, all home made from the patty to the relish. The Earl’s all day breakfast is a serious favourite –worth a try and can be topped off with some speciality coffees or a smoothie on the side.
Café Roux is a perfect place to enjoy a hearty breakfast after a walk on the beach or lunch in the sunshine with a good bottle of wine. In summer Café Roux hosts Thursday braai night – a chilled out local affair. Fires start at 6pm, live acoustic entertainment – choose your meat selection and the Café Roux staff will cook your food while you chat to your mates! Bookings are essential.
In addition to being a seriously easy going café style restaurant with good values, good food, good service and good times, they are also a function venue offering:
• Weddings (intimate & large)
• Catered functions & events
• Kids' parties (providing food, pony rides)
• Private celebratory breakfasts and lunches
And after indulging why not ask to buy a copy of Bernadette le Roux’s award winning cookbook “Prickly Pears and Pomegranates” - to take some of the goodness home.
